BERGEN COUNTY THERAPY
FEEL GOOD. LIVE WELL.
FEEL GOOD. LIVE WELL.
Jill A. Pantaleo, LCSW And Associates, LLC, also known as Bergen County Therapy, is one of the most prestigious and long-standing therapy practices in Bergen County. We have been providing professional, effective, compassionate and comprehensive care to the residents and families of Bergen County for over 20 years. Our staff consists of experienced and highly trained Licensed Clinical Social Workers, a registered dietitian, a behavioral consultant, yoga teachers, educators, and more. Our professionals have advanced and specialized training in a multitude of treatment modalities and clinical approaches (ie- EMDR, hypnotherapy, play therapy, mindfulness training, CBT, DBT, Imago Couple's Therapy, etc.), and are experienced in working with a wide variety of conditions, diagnoses and populations including children and adolescents. Many of our clinicians are also affiliated with local institutes of higher education as professors or administrators.
We have abundant experience working as consultants and trainers for schools and businesses on topics related to mental health and wellness and are experienced and sought after public speakers for programs, lectures, and educational seminars. We have spoken at the yearly conferences for the National Association for Social Workers and the Association for Student Assistance Professionals, for multiple local school districts as well as several Bergen County stigma free initiatives including Oradell and New Milford.
Additionally, our "sister company," Bergen Peak Performance," provides a plethora of services and trainings for students, athletes, performing artists, business and medical professions, first responders and so forth for optimal mental and brain performance. These services include Neurofeedback, EMDR for performance, cognitive training, FITLIGHT Training and more. (Please scroll down for more information or visit us at www.BergenPeakPerformance.com)
At Bergen County Therapy, we truly pride ourselves on the meaningful and powerful relationships we build with our clients. We value and respect every person who comes to us seeking professional care as an individual with unique needs, a unique history and equally unique strengths. We seek to build personal relationships with our clients that are characterized by professionalism, genuineness, warmth, reciprocity, and compassion. We do not adhere to the "blank slate" school of therapy; to the contrary, we believe that all people possess abundant innate strengths and wisdoms that, together with their therapist, can problem solve, heal, grow, seek and find answers that lead them along their journey in creating the health, happiness and life that they desire.
We are proud of the fact that we are never afraid to "think outside the box" as clinicians. Our professionals continue to learn and evolve and receive on-going training and tools to bring to the therapeutic table. And we will do whatever it takes to engage and assist our clients in a manner that is helpful and most comfortable for them- especially our younger clients! We have been known to shoot hoops, go on hikes, play video games, cuddle puppies, listen to music and even make "slime" to effectively engage and get to know our clients!
We also believe in the practices of "giving back" and "paying it forward" and, as such, offer once a month free lectures and workshops on helpful topics relevant to our clients and the communities that we serve. We often participate in local fundraisers, mental health fairs and other important community activities. (See our "Events" page for a schedule of all upcoming events).
We provide compassionate, confidential and specialized treatment for individuals, families, couples and groups (including children, adolescents and adults). While most of our clientele comes from Bergen County and the surrounding areas, our central location in Waldwick, NJ, enables us to serve clients from all over the tri-state area! Furthermore, we provide technology assisted therapy, or tele-therapy, to clients who go away to college, move out of the area, or are simply unable to get to us (we will, of course, do on-site or home visits as well).
Bergen County Therapy also offers a host of professional consultation and educational services (including public speaking, workshops, trainings, etc.) for schools or businesses in a plethora of areas related to mental health, wellness, stress reduction, risk assessment, etc. Additionally, we provide consultation, advocacy, and case management for individuals or families seeking such support or services pertaining to mental health, education, special needs and other related areas.
Our facility is actually a 115 year old Victorian home that has been completely renovated into a comfortable and serene treatment environment for our clients. We are conveniently located moments off of Rt. 17 in Waldwick, New Jersey, about 20 minutes from New York City and central to the Garden State Parkway, NJ Turnpike, and NJ Transit buses and trains. Our building is completely ADA compliant and accessible to any individuals with a special need. We have office hours 7 day a week, and offer evening appointments as well.
